Meet Michael DeCesareFine art photography is an art form, but I believe the craft is grounded in technical competence. I am a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography. Every image I create is made as a craftsman and creative.
My art opens windows in time and place, where you may discover a forgotten memory, a moment of personal vision, a world to explore, or a
personal refuge.
I approach an image as a new friend, trying to learn what makes it special, and how we can create something, together. My artwork is made in very small, limited editions, to make it affordable and accessible.
These limited-edition pictures are made using only 100% cotton rag. The frames are natural wood, the mats are acid-free, and the glazing is framing-grade acrylic, much lighter and much safer than glass.
While my work has been honored many times, recently, the Edmonds Fine Arts Festival's Gallery Arts exhibition awarded “Storm at Sea.” It will now be offered at Art's Alive in La Conner the first weekend of October.
My work has been recognized in international competitions and can be found in several art galleries and fine art shows, including the 2025 Missoula Art Museum’s 50th Anniversary.
